While revealing the secret project, he mentioned Icarus, and today he added Yoroi, whom the Cardano Foundation said has been updated on Cardano’s roadmap.
Many have wondered what Icarus is. In Cardano’s blog, Icarus was referred to as a Chrome extension and “reference implementation for a lightweight wallet developed by the IOHK”. The idea gives developers the advantage of inventing their own secure light and mobile wallets for Cardano.
“Icarus is a fully open source code base that will be the first step in a series of open source initiatives to bring a range of tools for Cardano to developers.”
Yoroi is a light client wallet that Emurgo launched today. Emurgo is an organization that supports new Cardano projects. The organization said it was interested in releasing the first implementation of Icarus to the community. Emurgo is working on rolling out the implementation of Icarus, the Yoroi wallet.
