Brett Lee, a former Australian international cricketer, has donated a bitcoin (valued at around $ 54,000 today) to the so-called “Crypto Relief” fund, which aims to help Indian hospitals fight the coronavirus pandemic.
“I am deeply saddened to see people suffering from the ongoing pandemic. I feel privileged to be able to make a difference and with that in mind I would like to donate Crypto Relief 1 BTC (Bitcoin) to help buy oxygen for hospitals across India, ”Lee told a Twitter Post on Tuesday.

In his statement, Lee noted that he had decided to follow the example of his colleague and compatriot Pat Cummins, who also donated $ 50,000 to the PM Cares Fund on Monday. Cummins’ donation will be used to buy oxygen for India’s hospitals, which are overwhelmed amid a catastrophic second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, inspired by Lees and Cummins donations, the Estonian Cricket Association also made a 0.027 Bitcoin (about $ 1,500) crypto donation to help Indian hospitals.
