CES 2021 Avalanche Computing develops hyper-scale computing techniques for AI projects with speed and high scalability

Avalanche Computing focuses on the optimization of the deep learning environment and the parallel training, the lightening of the trained model and the subsequent provision of the AI model on a hyperscale. The proposed AI framework will help increase the speed of manufacturing and medical applications, including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, machine diagnostics, fault detection, supply chain analysis, operations optimization, EGG signal, breath sound, medical signal, medical speech and anomaly detection, lung cancer detection and more.

Turnkey solution for AI development and deployment

“Our mission is to help our intelligence-focused customers save time, headcount, and money on AI development. With our extensive knowledge of technology and computing domains, we want a great workflow for the Delivering AI Development and Deployment in One In addition, our numerous alliance partners, academic collaborations and computer hardware partners have continued to help our AI customers thrive in global business, “said the founder and CEO of Avalanche Jay Chen.

“With our AI experience with global companies, we can help customers achieve rapid AI training, shorten waiting times and quickly scale the inference system without building a new team of engineers.”

Development of AI for different requirements in different industries

Chen said his company currently serves more than 15 manufacturing and medical AI companies and enterprise-level SMEs. Avalanche’s focus markets include United States, Japan, Taiwanand several European countries with target sectors such as Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Smart Medical and more. He reported that his company worked with NVidia SA, cloud service providers and many software partners worldwide, as well as two accelerators including NTUTEC and NTPC-AWS Joint Innovation Center.

Avalance began with tactical planning for expansion into the Japan and US markets in 2019. That year (2020) the company joined the NTU Corporate Accelerator Program (with AUO), the TSS Lineup, and the NVidia Inception Program. AIdea won first prizes in many categories; and was selected as a top 10 finalist by Airbus DDMS International Startups. Avalanche Computing was selected by the Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) as one of 100 Taiwanese startups featured at CES 2021.

A significant team with great potential

Avalanche Computing Taiwan was founded by most of the LEAP members, NVidia alumni, professors, and serial entrepreneurs who join the company’s mission to help companies without adequate AI knowledge implement AI and transform the world together.

Co-founder of Avalance Computing Jay Chen earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University. His research interests include big data analytics, cloud computing, and mobile data analysis. He was involved in deep learning and optimizing AI framework performance at Nvidia. He has more than 15 years of experience in big data analysis. He is a member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society (honored in 2006 and 2016) and co-founder of the NTU Design Thinking Club. At Avalanche Computing, Jay provides technical support for Smart Manufacturing, Smart Medical, and more.

Co-Founder of Avalanche Computing, CW Huang also received his Masters from National Taiwan University. His research focused on machine learning, computer vision, and data mining. He has participated in numerous machine learning competitions and received many recognitions, including a silver medal in the Kaggle-sponsored “Quora Insincere Question Classification” challenge with 4,037 participants and a bronze medal in the “APTOS 2019 Blindness Detection” competition. At Avalanche, he worked with an intelligent medical technology company to develop a real-time AI system for recognizing breath sounds.
