Hoskinson described the platform’s use cases as follows:
“For a large group of people there will be a digital identity for the first time in their life, which can also be linked to wallets, which can also be linked to payment systems, which can also be linked to real estate and which are rich in metadata and others such things. “

Cardano’s focus on Africa
At the end of January 2021, Charles Hoskinson stated in an interview with Forkast.News that developing countries like Africa have been part of Cardano’s strategy since it was founded.
According to Hoskinson, cryptocurrencies are increasing among young Africans, indicating that the continent is ripe for decentralized finance (DeFi) due to its broken economy and underdeveloped banking system:
“How do you put on the Fortune 500? You do this by saying, “Hey, would you like to have access to the 100 million customers on my platform who now have money and want to consume your products?”
