Delta Sigma Theta Founder Honored in Delaware County

COLLINGDALE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – The Delta Sigma Theta Sisterhood paid tribute to one of its founding members in Collingdale, Delaware County.

A memorial in honor of the deceased Pauline Oberdorfer Minor stands today in the historic Eden cemetery.

Minor founded the 102-year-old social action organization while at Howard University.

However, her death had remained a mystery until 2013.

A search by some of the sorority found Minor buried in a poor grave in Delaware County.

On Saturday, her co-sisters held an omega-omega service and properly laid her to rest.
