Dominik Schiener, co-founder of the leading open source distributed ledger platform, IOTA, recently reiterated that the introduction of Coordicide is important to the future of the IOTA ecosystem.
In a recent AMA, Dominik Schiener pointed out that Coordicide will usher the IOTA network into the era of full decentralization and stated that the team has been outstanding in their search for the best for the community.
Dominik Schiener noted:
“Coordicide will completely decentralize IOTA. On the theoretical side, we are very good at delivering what is promised, namely a fully decentralized IOTA. I think the biggest risk is implementation. “
As of now, IOTA is looking forward to the release of Coordicide in the fourth quarter of 2021, but the hope for such a timeframe is based on the result of the test network with incentives:
“A lot of it depends on how well the testnet works with incentives. That’s why we always say that the test network with incentives is the most important part of Coordicide. Here research is combined with implementation to test in an open environment. “
Regarding the sharding of data, Dominik Schiener said: “I think if I have to summarize the sharding, the greatest risk is to develop a solution that will ruin the introduction of IOTA. Much like they said, the biggest risk to Ethereum is Ethereum 2.0. “
In conclusion, IOTA co-founder commented: “With this in mind, the team has received feedback from its corporate partners in order to develop a solution that the market wants. Chrysalis will be the culmination of this feedback for the most part. “
The biggest upgrade in IOTA Chrysalis history will be implemented in two weeks
The IOTA Foundation announced the chosen date for the implementation of Chrysalis on the IOTA network, an upgrade that has been described as the largest in IOTA’s history. The implementation of Chrysalis is expected to usher IOTA into a new era of rapid ecosystem growth.
According to the IOTA Foundation in a tweet on April 8, 2021, the Chrysalis upgrade not only improves network throughput, stability, resilience and security of IOTA by several orders of magnitude, but also improves the experience of developers.
