Four Cosmos players on loan to Detroit City FC for the National Independent Soccer Association’s spring season have returned to the club and will begin training for the fall season on June 1.
The decision was made after NISA ceased operations until May 10 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league made the decision last week.
Players on loan were defensemen Matt Lewis, midfielders Darwin Espinal and Salvatore Barone, and striker Isaac Acuna.
Kosmos has also signed captain Danny Szetela, who has been with the club since his 2013 restart season, defenders Emmanuele Sembroni and Konrad Plewa for the autumn campaign.
The team had trained at the LI Sports Hub in Syosset, NY and the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, NY when weather permitted.
