MACOMB (WGEM) – The City of Macomb announced Tuesday the approval of its Resident Incentive for Purchases to Promotion the Local Economy (RIPPLE) program.
City officials said the program offers a $ 25 discount off a future water bill if a resident spends $ 150 in local “non-essential” shops and restaurants.
Officials said the aim of the program is to promote the economic development of restaurants and non-essential businesses in Macomb that have been adversely affected by the pandemic.
The funds will come from the Community Improvement Fund to reimburse the water fund.
The program takes effect immediately.
The RIPPLE form is located below and can be downloaded here.
