PayPal calls Bitcoin rally | Companies

Bitcoin’s price soared to a three-month high of more than $ 50,000 when PayPal announced it would allow UK customers to trade cryptocurrencies starting this week.

Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, peaked at nearly $ 65,000 in April before falling to less than $ 30,000 on fears of China crackdown on digital assets. It has now rebounded to trade above $ 50,000 for the first time since May, amid renewed optimism that cryptocurrencies will become more widespread.

The most recent rally coincided with PayPal’s announcement that it would for the first time allow users in the UK to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies through its payments platform. Customers can trade Ethereum, Bitcoin or Bitcoin cash with a minimum purchase of £ 1.
